Beyond the basics: Specialized terminologies outside the acute care setting

Precise clinical documentation is essential to quality care and quality data. However, while many are familiar with the role played by common terminologies like ICD-10-CM or SNOMED CT®, the importance of more specialized terminologies is often overlooked.
